I rarely even write personal entries anymore. Work keeps me busy 24/7 when I’m not spending time with my family, which is by all means more important than a measly blog.

However, since Retromuse.com is also a good resource to my clients to know what’s on my mind, and a sweet outlet to me as well, I’m here today to share a little entry to file under ‘Relax‘: my favorite, yet unreachable watch.

Why unreachable? Well, simply because I haven’t managed to save up money for my own expenses yet. I know I should (that’s every worker’s right!) but my wife and I adopted more kids recently and money was needed elsewhere.

My favorite watch is a nixon the newton watch; you can see a picture here on the right. It costs $99.95 (discounted) and it suits my armor style very well. I’d love to wear it right now, but as I mentioned above, it doesn’t fit in my budget yet. That’s why I’m saving up tight starting last week to be able to buy it for Christmas. A just-for-me present. :)

Take a look at the specs:

2 hand quartz with LED and display with rotating disk

30 meter molded polycarbonate with hardened mineral crystal case

one piece injected silicone with locking looper and buckle made of polycarbonate.

For the moment, I managed to purchase a Nixon Belt for pennies (literally). That little thing makes me feel lucky. I look forward to the watch following suit this Christmas.

I will be back to work in a few hours. I think a nap would do now.

Next week I’m going to share more updates on Study Projects, Family Business Tips and Entrepreneurship. My brother Rodimus is turning into a really good entrepreneur and his work and research is of particular interest to our world companies. I will share a little bit of his research topics too, although he’s going to put everything online on his blog soon.

My father (Optimus) says he’s proud of us. I say I’m proud of him instead, since both Rodimus and I owe him all we are now. Dad is our daily inspirational source, our very motivation, our motif to team-work. Thanks to our father, Rodimus and I are getting closer as brothers, personally and professionally. There’s more empathy between us, more than there ever was.

Thank you dad. For this, for everything, for even more. We can never be old enough to learn from a parent.

I visited www.rentcalgary.com this week to be able to provide advice for a client who’s looking for a home for rent in Calgary, Alberta.

I must admit it was very useful. To-the-point information, no time waster.

Too often, informational websites, maps and niche blogs offer too much sparse information that makes it difficult for a reader on a short time budget to intake as much information as they can. When I’m at work, I’m that tipe of short time budgeted person. Oddly enough, I can still skim through information and find my way to what I need, but it’s not always so easy… Think of headaches. That’s it.

So, regarding my client, I was able to provide the information and advice he needed. He phoned me up today to let me know he found a home for rent in Calgary and he’s moving there soon with his family. Good happy endings. :)

I’m off to hit the sack now. I have more work tomorrow and I need to drive my wife to university first.

‘Later.

Recently I’ve gotten really into swimming, is that weird? I know I’m getting older and should probably be slowing down but I’ve gotten really active and I love swimming outdoors or even at the gym in the mornings as a way to clear my head. It’s amazing exercise, too, and I feel like I’ve been waiting to find something to move my body that I didn’t hate doing. I sure wish I had a pool at my house though so I didn’t have to drive! I recently signed up for Woodward satellite internet broadband at home so I could check out the gyms and rates in the area and I happened across an adult swimming league that I’m totally going to be a part of. I know it sounds silly but I think it would be a good way to make new friends and get out my competitive edge at the same time! I love swimming so why not share that with others who I love, too? It all makes sense to me.

The past week I’ve been overloaded with explanation requests about indemnity insurance, and since most of my clients came to me using the Web as a means of communication, it’s the Web I’m going to use to answer said questions, through my blog.

1. what is professional indemnity insurance?

Indemnity insurance is a type of insurance which aims at protecting customers from potential accidents taking place at work, during their everyday services. In case it’s the business or employer they work for (as well as another employee) to cause harm, because of negligent acts, the insurance will force it to pay high fees to compensate the victim.

2. how should I know if an employer is negligent or not and avoid the harm?

Well, since nobody can foresee the future of read people’s minds, the only thing you can do is getting clear explanations of your employer’s care to his/her employees prior to getting the job. If you feel that working for that particular business is going to bring potential harm to you, then simply don’t apply for the job.

3. what happens to my employer if I loose an arm or die because of negligence at work?

If you lost an arm or died because of your employer’s negligence, the survival of the business itself is put under serious threat, which is only right: would you keep someone run a business if he let all of his workers die or loose a part of their bodies?

I joined Twitter today, a resolution after hearing so much good about it from my wife and children. I have to be honest: I like its interface. Simple and efficient. I plan to use my Twitter account to keep in touch with my father and brother regarding our family business, but also as a social medium to meet and talk to different people who share my same interest: business, technology, family matters.

I followed one person for the moment, Peter Francis-Macrae. I found the guy’s Twitter page on Google Search results, while searching for other people who are into business and technology. Peter looks young; perhaps we can build a good friendship over time.

Our family business is running smoothly. I’m now earning a fixed wage of €3,000/month, and my father assured me that I can count on a considerable increase on the next semester.

I persuaded him to have his other son Rodimus join the business as well, and he’s being good an administrator so far. What I find really relieving, though, is the relationship between my father and my adoptive brother strengthening over time. Believe me: I’ve been scared about never seeing this happening, in the past. I’m glad I was wrong about it.

This week’s work focuses on inter-planet advertising. I’m in charge of the plan, and I need to make sure it goes smoothly. I will keep you updated in the next days, as I can’t give additional details for now.

My brother and I are continuing our study projects, on a tight weekly schedule. These activities do not just add more to our knowledge, but they are also strengthening our bond as family. It’s all I care about, seriously.

Well. Our current study project regards Topamax and its side effects. It began as an effort to help my son Doc Ratchet with one of his medical researches, but it ended up involving us intellectually and charitably as well.

Topamax is a prescription anti-convulsant often used against epilepsy, migraines and strong headaches. However, the Topamax lawsuit history teaches us that its side effects could be fatal if not taken care of in time; worst of which include severe birth defects, and cleft lip or cleft palate.

I have seen children suffering from these birth defects: they can certainly undergo surgery, but they are delicate, and often run into feeding issues on their first months of life. I could never stand seeing a child suffering that way.

I believe it’s no good to go deep on this subject here on my blog, but I recommend the following address for help or additional information, contact:

O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath – Personal Injury Lawyers – 808 West Avenue, Austin, TX. 78701 – 512-494-9949

Hopefully, next study project will be a happier one.

As of Wikipedia’s definition:

Day trading refers to the practice of buying and selling financial instruments within the same trading day such that all positions are usually closed before the market close for the trading day. Traders that participate in day trading are called active traders or day traders.

That said, I would like to give out some useful day trading tips now, thanks to a research I conducted online over the last week:

Factors Influencing Day Trading
1 – Liquidity
2 – Volatility
3 – Timing
4 – Strategy

Potential Risks to Day Trading Practice

– trading a loser’s system
– risk capital not adequate
– a poor strategy
– bad timing
– a poor money management

All of these factors may influence your day trading performance. Keep in mind that, the more scrupulous you are, the less risk you run into. Remember that a good strategy is key to success too: do not underestimate your work of analysis and strategy/technique setup; it can often turn into your winning factor, if you play your cards well.

So, I’ve hit bedtime. I will be online this week if you need more resources and documents to learn more about day trading, for the moment, all I can suggest is:

- Wikipedia.org
- DayTradingCenter.net

Take care.

A good coffee can seriously make your day. You should try that. In the meantime, I’m reading about the Japanese earthquake, and the TAC Lawyers, during a pause from work. I will need to resume that in one hour, so I can take all time I want to relax and read my online papers. Blogging is another very relaxing hobby of mine; I should do it more often.

So, I was reading about TAC Lawyers indeed. TAC is acronym for Transport Accident Commission, which operates in Victoria (US), and it takes care of people involved – as victims – in vehicle accidents. They are good guys, who try to protect the innocent at every cost. These TAC Lawyers would be good advisors for Autobots and Maximals as well. As for Japan… I hope we can do something from here too; sending money and petitions to close those nuclear plants perhaps. They must be closed and suffocated as soon as possible, to avoid radiation spreading.

And now, sandwich time.

You will forgive this blogger’s absence over the last weeks. I was forced to re-build my website from old backups and Google Cache, on a new server, after the one we had on NLH completely ceased to work. I’m glad to be back online. I hope I will soon have a chance to work more on the internal pages of RetroMuse.com, to finally complete its contents.

I have recently embarked in a studying project together with my brother Rodimus, which both of us are find extremely interesting: cryotherapy.

Perhaps you know about it already, as it’s also commonly known as ‘cold therapy’ or ‘ice therapy’, but its formal name is ‘cryotherapy’ indeed. This kind of therapy is usually administered in case of serious muscle injuries, or in any medical situation in which pain minimization becomes necessary, or in after-surgery swelling conditions.

However, it is also a dangerous therapy if not administered correctly. If abused or set at too low temperatures, devices for cryotherapy can cause serious nerve damage or frost bite. Discussing this aspect of the therapy with Rodimus, we came to realize that sometimes using alternative methods to crytherapy would be better, and risk-less. I believe that this kind of ‘strong’ therapy should only be used in extreme cases of painful injuries and/or post-surgical complication.

Before ending this entry, I feel sharing the following address is a must; you will find it useful in case you experienced damage from cryotherapy and you find yourself in need of a cold therapy lawsuit:

I have celebrated my birthday on the 16th of this month. Thirty-four years of age. Youth seems to be fading away with each twelve months span that passes, but I find myself more and more amazed at how life seems to turn that upside down… one the inside. I feel even more energetic than I was at 24. I have gained more inner peace, more sense of humor, an overall more positive view of life.

I must admit I felt awkward when my wife decided to change her first name for good to ‘Aurora’. Her former first, ‘Luana’, is going to become her middle name, and viceversa. I can’t blame her, since ‘Aurora’ always was her favourite name of the two, but calling her ‘Aurora’ will be difficult for me, after all of these years of living together.

Aurora… I guess it’ll become a habit with time. It’s just a name, it won’t change the essence. :)

I have bonded a lot with my long lost brother Rodimus over the last month. I have to admit his inconsistent behaviour is a reasonable consequence of his feeling of abandonment, and I can’t really blame him for holding a deepfelt jealousy in my regards. I would feel just the same, in his shoes.

However, that is no excuse for his bad words. My wife and children have nothing to do with the injustice our parents did to us. He shouldn’t be cold to them, and certainly they don’t deserve the backtalk. Overall, Rodimus is a good man. He has only suffered a lot, too much, for a guy so young.

I’ll stay by his side, to help him; as brothers are meant to be.

Happy 2011, dear visitors! I hope the new year will bring peace, harmony and positive events everywhere in the world, in the universe. God only knows how much we need that.

I’m trying hard to teach my elder children how to cleverly prepare and structure their papers in order to get the best argumentation, writing style and grammar/lexicon possible. Many students overlook this aspect, but research paper rubric – an evaluation method that academic institutions use to assess students’ research papers – plays a fundamental role in the grading system for their research paper. Lack of grammar skills and in-depth analysis, a poor bibliography and background information, and lack of proper argumentation are often the reason behind a poor grade, even though the students put genuine effort in researching and writing his/her paper.

That is particularly important when you are to write a literary research paper: literature is well known for being ambiguous, which means that you would need to research the various interpretations by the most eminent critics, along with other literary authors who many have developed different aspects of a certain writer’s thought/phylosophy/work. On Termpaperwrite.org you may review a few term paper samples to see with your eyes. I’m not just blurbing here: it’s those ‘little writing things’ to do most of the grade. I have my share of experience.

I hope my children will follow the advice. Sometimes, they can be tremendously stubborn.

There would be no need to buy gold coins if our economy was as stable as our governors would like us to believe. But believing that would mean covering our eyes in front of reality. It’s what I have been discussing this morning with my father, brother Rodimus and uncle U. Magnus. There is nothing to do: when currency has its ups and downs, a safest way to maintain our properties value is to deposit it all in gold ingots, either at banks or at a personal repository; or to invest. Ultra Magnus was a good mediator for us, so our project went in port last month. Now, we might be considering other things, like setting up an operations research team and try to sort out the Cybertronian economy the best possible way.

Strictly family wise, my wife and I have adopted a new child, Sar’k, a 10 years old Vulcan boy. We were sent an adoption request by the Vulcan Embassy through the Commander of station DS9 (B. Sisko), and last week both of us were interviewed by Ambassador Spock, to check out our credentials and our adoption history. He was delighted with us – for how ‘delighted’ isn’t a perfect word to describe a Vulcan man, seen the logic-driven mentality – and he immediately requested our child to be teleported on DS9. We brought him home a few hours later, after the paperwork. It was thrilling an experience, and I truly hope we can be good parents to this young child. Sar’k seems to be integrating well within the family, but I’m keeping him under observation; in case, I’ll contact the Vulcan Embassy to ask for advice.

Another news is that my son Longreen and his Bajoran girlfriend Naral got married on November 28th, just two days before we adopted Sar’k. We all were waiting for this event to take place, and it was lovely to celebrate the wedding on both Cybertron and Bajor. Seeing my son finally married, and happy, makes me a proud father, and I also love Naral as a daughter-in-law, just as I love Martina, Rattilus‘ girlfriend. I hope to see his wedding soon too.

Some time has passed since I last wrote anything interesting on this blog. I am working extra hours for a three months already, and that resulted in an improved financial situation for my family, especially since we’re living a time of recession and it’s getting more and more difficult to earn a decent salary.

Working overtime is not always so easy. There are days in which exhaustion takes over, and I lack the energy to do the smallest thing, but I try to hold on and be strong for the sake of my wife and children. They are my world, I would do anything for them.

I agree with my father’s decision to buy gold coins and use them as a ‘treasure pot’ to store most of our monetary property for the future generation – my and Rodimus’ children – and save up for emergencies as well. We need to find out what kind of coins are best for us to purchase. I proposed to use the United States Gold Bureau to purchase gold, silver and/or other precious metals (and coins), as coins from planet Earth are some of the most credited in the interplanetary economy. Ultra Magnus said he’s going to mediate for us, so at least we have backup.

Looks like my father has intended, for a time, to donate some of his ancient Cybertronian gold coins to my children, as a symbol of the link that they have built with the Primes by joining our family, naturally or by adoption. I thought it to be a wonderful gesture on his behalf, but I fear my younger kids may loose or ruin any of these coins of inestimabile value. Of course, I don’t mean to take them away from their boxes; I will simply teach them how to take care of these precious gifts, and how to maintain the shine intact. My children are smart boys and girls, I’m sure they’re going to understand. And dad to appreciate. My brother Rodimus should get some of these too, though, or at least his daughter Phelian.

I liked the idea as my son was exposing it, and I’m glad they’re going to give it a try. Smart kids I got!

As for my job, I fear it’s going to keep me busy all day, today and tomorrow. I’m still excited about it anyway, and I hope to do a good job. My father trusts me with it, and I won’t disappoint him.

I would usually believe that when human coins decline due to recession, price of gold would too; but I was wrong it seems. It’s still safe to buy gold bullion, because gold exists in a physical form, which is stable and not subject to variations like Dollar or Euro values. It would be interesting to invest in gold bullion when times get tough on the financial side; I need to discuss this with my father as soon as possible. Gold stability in Earthen economy can be the key to improve our inter-planetary transactions.

As you can see, my job in assisting my father on the inter-planetary economy, relationships and dynamics is more than just sitting at a table reading papers or correcting them before submission. I’m proud to have been chosen for this role, and I’m honoured of serving my homeland together with the Legend that is my father.

I think I should write more about the charms of my job on this blog from now on. :)

I could not feel any worse than this… feeling so useless in front of my children’s needs… My wife and I are considering a cash advance request to try to help them out with these expenses, without seeing them being forced to work to sustain their studies and wedding plan. I know Longreen has a part time job, but he does not earn enough to keep up with everything; and Buzz… he’s got no job at all. My father will always be there to help us financially, but this situation is mostly my fault and I’m the one who needs to correct it. Wondering why? Because my wage has not been upgraded yet under my request, because I wanted to be careful with sorting out things at work, careful not to make others think of favouritism just because I’m son to a legend… THAT is my fault. And my children are paying for it. I need to fix it now, ASAP.
